About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Linguamática is a journal about natural language processing, namely the languages spoken in the Iberic Penisula, like the Portuguese, Galician, Catalan, Castilian, Basque, Mirandese or Aranese. Linguamática follows an open review policy.

Peer Review Process

Submissions must be written in one of the main languages of the Iberian Peninsula (Portuguese, Galician, Catalan, Castilian or Basque). Articles written in English will only be published if none of the authors have the linguistic knowledge to write in one of the journal's preferred languages, and only if the editors consider the article relevant to the journal.

Submissions include full articles with authors identfication. The reviewing will be also open. Thus, reviewers will sign their comments. Each submission should be reviewed by at least two reviewers.

The journal includes two main sections, one for students, and another for remaining researchers. This would help new researchers to publish, and get relevant comments from well-known researchers.

Publication Frequency

Linguamática publishes twice yearly, with a first edition in May/June and a second in November/December. Each issue is published on the Internet and made available access to individual article documents or the full issue in a single PDF document. It is also possible to buy a paper copy of the journal.

PublicationFee

Publication in Linguamática has no costs.

Open Access Policy

This journal makes published articles available free or charges, following the principle that making reasearch words available freely help on the knowledge sharing.
